Payroll Administrator, Senior
Responsibilities:






Preparation of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 600+ employees in North Carolina and multiple
locations in CA for submission to outside payroll subcontractor.
Tracking and reporting via ADP electronic employee files including salary and earnings history,
vacation earned, sick days taken, and other earnings.
Working with Payroll Manager and Human Resources to prepare forms for distribution to Managers at
the time of annual performance and salary review. All employees reviewed at the same time mid-year.
Review for completeness and process all annual increases as approved by the COO/CFO.
General knowledge and experience working with 401K plans and outside Plan Administrators
Support the Payroll Manager Working with Controller for preparation of outside audits such as Worker’s
Compensation and 401K audit.
Tracking of other sundry payroll activities such as garnishments, reconciliation of flexible spending
accounts, etc.
Qualifications:











Management of third party relationships including outside auditors, ADP payroll, and 401k plan
Administrators
Hands-on payroll processing in a multi-state environment
Ability to communicate various policies and procedures to all levels of employees, as they apply to
payroll and 401k administration
Knowledge of laws related to payroll and labor regulations
Basic accounting knowledge to be able to understand payroll related journal entries
Strong computer skills including (but not limited to): ADP Payforce knowledge and experience, Excel
and Word
Must be able to meet bi-weekly payroll deadlines
Available to work overtime as needed
Requires 5 years of hands-on payroll experience
FPC or CPP designation preferred.
Ability to travel (about 5%) when needed
