This year there was an excellent turnout for Registered Holsteins exhibited at the show, 2 bulls, 108 heifers and 96 cows, totaling 206 head. Brain Craswell of Prince Edward Island, Canada began the show at 8:00 a.m. with the bull classes, immediately followed by the heifer classes. First place Hoese Goldwyn Banks-ET was named Grand Champion Male followed by second place Fieldstone Elite who took home Reserve Grand Champion Male. First place fall calf, Stranshome Shake Em Up-ET, exhibited by Joseph, Zach, Jerome & Darian Stranksy was named Junior Champion of the show; the first place winter calf Demmers Alex Thunderstruck, exhibited by Demmer Farms was Reserve Junior Champion of the show. Following the heifer classes, there was a short break and then began with the Golden Gopher Futurity XXXV at 11:00 a.m., top honors were given to Lake-Prairie Kite Anika, exhibited by Joseph Stransky & Lydia Olson, followed by Macland Gold Juliet exhibited by Anna & Emma Culbertson, in second place and in third place was Scha-Kett Spirte Nissa exhibited by Sydnie Nelson. Immediately following futurity the cow classes entered the ring. Judge Craswell named the first place Senior Two Year Old, TJ-Pollema Rdlnr Shania-Red, exhibited by Brooke Pollema & Quentin Scott, Intermediate Champion. Reserve Intermediate Champion went to first place Junior Two Year Old, Macland Clever Stacie, exhibited by Scott Culbertson. The first place 125,000 Pound Cow, Rodash-View Durham Jazz-ET, was awarded Senior Champion Female, Grand Champion Female, and Top Bred & Owned of the Show. She was exhibited by Roger & David Friese. Blondin Lyster Beuaty, first place Aged Cow, exhibited by David & Jeremy Hoese, was named Reserve Champion Female, and Reserve Grand Champion Female. Judge Brian Craswell awarded second place Senior Three Year Old, Lida-Acres Damion Amber-ET exhibited by Dana & Maria Johnson, Best Udder of the Show. The Premier Breeder banner was presented to Demmer Farms and Premier Exhibitor to Flower-Brook Holsteins.
