About the Company
Mgolole Agro-processing Company Ltd is an agribusiness company registered in Tanzania for
the purpose of farming and food processing. The company owns a number of medium sized
farms in the Mgolole area of Morogoro municipality including Mgolole Mixed Farm (farm No:
2002). The company also owns the 1,080 ha Kidago Farm No. 4 located in Kikundi village,
Morogoro Rural district, Morogoro, Tanzania. The company’s current business focus
1. Both dairy cattle and beef production
2. Crop and forage production
Position: Veterinary/Livestock Expert
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Veterinary/Livestock expert to join a dedicated
farm team to provide Veterinary Services and Livestock Management to the company’s dairy,
beef, small ruminants, pigs and poultry enterprises at the company’s Kidago and Mgolole farms
and partner farmers surrounding areas.
Starting period:
Mgolole Agro-processing Company Ltd is ideally looking for someone to start in July 2015 for
the above mentioned position. The role is a full time position.
Location: Morogoro, Tanzania
Experience Required:
Proven practical experience in a similar position (minimum five years’ experience). Work
experience in the East African region particularly Tanzania will be an added advantage. The
person should be enthusiastic with excellent hand on experience general livestock management,
nutrition and health care skills, and records keeping and be able to build strong trusting
relationships with staff and partner farmers and be able to articulate clear animal health annual
program and treatment advice and options. The person needs to be able to work well within their
clinical and non-clinical issues. He/she needs to be competent to take a sole charge in areas such
as pregnancy testing, caesareans, calving etc. He/she should be computer literate and should
have.
The successful candidate will have:



Minimum Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Medicine from recognized institution
Any other qualification in livestock production and management
A Passion for farming




Hands on farm experience on a farm of similar size and complexity
Strong communication skills
A driver’s license
Must be self-motivated, results oriented and can work under minimum supervision.
