The program is designed to provide students with relevant and meaningful educational experiences and is tailored to the skills, interests and aspirations of young people with a focus on vocational and living skills. On completion of the course in Year 12, students may qualify for a HSC or alternatively, may be certified with a Kadina Certificate of Senior Schooling, detailing and recognising the skills and competencies achieved in the program. The WRAP course of study is divided into three major components. Occupying a central and valued place in the program is the Workplace Learning component. Workplace learning occurs one full day each week. The Vocational Learning component allows students to select from the range of School VET course offered within the Lismore Community of Secondary Schools and from TVET courses offered at the North Coast TAFE. The third component of WRAP is an Integrated Learning program where by students develop their literacy, numeracy, technological and employment related skills. This component will involve project based learning where students will be encouraged to develop and implement projects that enhance their sense of social responsibility, belonging and contribution to society. There will also be a focus on home and living skills, assisting students to develop the skills required to live independently in the community. The program strives to achieve these goals through partnerships and collaborations with local community and environmental groups, local businesses and local government. Credentials As a result of successfully participating in the program students may qualify for a range of credentials and certificates including: NSW Board of Studies Record(s) of Achievement in relevant subjects.
