Corpus Christi College Cambridge Job Description GRADUATE ADMINISTRATOR Job Title: Graduate Administrator Responsible to: Tutor for Advanced Students College Officer: Tutor for Advanced Students Purpose of Job: To assist the Tutor for Advanced Students, the Graduate Tutors and the Warden of Leckhampton in the administration of the College’s Graduate Office; to be the key operational contact for graduates; to organise and manage graduate related College events. Duties and Responsibilities Supporting the Tutors by fielding enquiries from mail, e-mail and telephone, and drafting/formulating correspondence. Providing advice and support to graduate students on operational, administrative and domestic matters, taking an interest in their wellness, being aware of other issues relating to students, and providing non-academic references for past and current students. To be knowledgeable about legislation and University policies concerning graduate students including visa monitoring of overseas students. Assisting with the admissions process by responding to enquiries from prospective graduate students, by liaising with the University’s Graduate Admissions Office, and by processing applications online. Supplying information on the status of admissions to the Tutors; managing the College’s postgraduate student database and other records. Developing and maintaining good relationships with Departments, Faculties and Trusts of the University, and with other offices/departments within the College. Collating accurate and up-to-date information about graduate financial support. Administering a range of scholarships, research grants, travel grants and hardship funds awarded by the College, and liaising with other funding bodies within the University. Assisting with the allocation of accommodation to graduates and academic visitors; preparing information for the issuing of graduate leases. Key contact for College Research Associates. Providing administration for the Research Fellowship Committee. Attending College and University meetings to represent the Graduate Office. Attending College and University training sessions to keep up to date with new policies and technology. Such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time.
