S3-S5 Pupils - Battlefields Trip
All pupils going on the trip must come and collect a letter
from Mrs Binnie in Room S4 as soon as possible.
 Monday Film Club continues to break attendance records!

 Here's what reviewers said about this film:
It is set in a dystopian future where war has ravaged the landscape
and the survivors have embraced a system we would consider
rather bizarre to maintain societal order. The twist here is that the
inhabitants of this world get to choose where they belong.
 Fingers crossed our school internet cooperates for viewing.
All pupils who have signed up for the Manchester trip

This is in connection with a sponsored event.
Anyone who would like to come on the trip, but has not
yet signed up, may also come along as there are one or
two spaces left.
MONDAY GYMNASTICS CLUB
Due to unforeseen circumstances there will be no
Gymnastics club running on a Monday.
RC Flight Club
The club will meet in BDT6/T1
on Tuesday 8 December and Tuesday 15 December
instead of the Games Hall (1.20 pm - 1.45 pm)
Modern Studies Supported Study
Every Tuesday after school with Miss Penfold

There will be a choir rehearsal Periods 1 and 2 on Friday in
preparation for the Christmas events.

Mr Carswell is doing a sponsored wax to raise money for
the Manchester trip.
There will be a sponsor sheet in the staff room and outside
Mr Carswell's class for anyone interested.
As part of her Religious Belief and Values project
Sophie Herron (S6) will be collecting tinned food,
rice, pasta and toys for the local food bank this
Christmas. She will collect these goods during
My Time until 16 December.

BADMINTON
 School Badminton tournament is on Monday 21 December.
 You must pay £5 with your entry form.
 If you have handed in an entry form without the money this
must be paid now or you will not be included in the draw.
 Entries close on 10 December but please hand in as soon as
you can so that we can issue consent forms etc.
 No late entries will be accepted.
S3, S4, S5 AND S6 PUPILS - OBAN KNIGHTS
If you would like to be part of a brand new
American Football club come along to the main PE hall
at 1.30 pm on Thursday 10 December for a short taster session.
No experience needed.
No matter your size, knowledge of the sport or fitness level you
just need an interest in ………………
AMERICAN FOOTBALL
Animal Welfare Club are planning a Cake Bake at break time on
Friday 11 December.
Donations from staff or pupils very welcome!
Proceeds to Argyll Animal Aid
 The school has the opportunity to get tickets to
Scotland vs England (Saturday 6 February)
and Scotland vs France (Sunday 13 March)
in this year’s Six Nations.
 Any pupil wishing to attend one or both games
should see Mr Fairbairn in the PE Dept ASAP.
 Places will go on a first-come-first-served basis.
 Tickets are £20 and a coach will cost about the same but
depends on numbers.
S6 PUPILS - UCAS 2016
Any senior pupil who has not yet started their application on the
UCAS website should do so without further delay.

Rehearsal for full cast and new members after school
on Monday in PAD3 (Miss Forrest's music hut)
Supported Study for National 5/Higher English has begun on Monday after
school between 3.45 - 4.45 pm.
This will take place every other week.
Pupils are welcome to drop in for 5-10 minutes for quick help,
or can stay the whole time.
This will take place in Mr Stringer’s room.

KIDS’ LIT QUIZ
Quiz Club is on WEDNESDAY LUNCHTIMES

for pupils who want to part in the Kids’ Lit Quiz.
The Kids’ Lit Quiz is an international competition
that celebrates reading!
You must be aged between 11 – 13 to take part in the competition.

Cycling club Spin Class on Thursdays at Fit4Less
3.50 pm to be ready for 4.00 pm start

Volleyball
 Volleyball is on a Thursday 4.00 – 5.30 pm in the Games Hall.
 There are coaches coming in to help run the club and anyone
is welcome.

Debating Club is on a Friday at 1.15 pm in E4.
All year groups welcome.

Assisi Animal Welfare group will be meeting in
Mrs Huddlestone's room at lunchtime every Friday.
Come along and discuss ways of raising awareness and fundraising for
animal charities both in the UK and overseas.
We will discuss topics ranging from greyhound racing to bullfighting
and testing products on animals.
Anyone with a love of animals is welcome.
Computer Free Fridays
PCs will be switched off Fridays at lunch time in the Library
FRIDAY PRAYER GROUP
A3 (Ossian Clan Room) - Lunch time - All welcome
Organised by Denise Roberts, Chaplain and Craiglodge Community
Girl’s Shinty will be on Fridays after school from 4-5 pm.
Any equipment needed will be provided for you.
All ages and levels of experience welcome!
HOMEWORK
Remember the library is open until 4.30 pm
All year groups are welcome to come and do homework.
Reminder
Everyone must have their cashless catering card for service in the
canteen and no money will be taken at the tills.
Students born between 1 March 1996 and 29 February 2000 MAY be eligible for an
EMA, depending on eligibility criteria, and an information flyer has been posted to
your home address.
EMA application packs are now available for students who wish to apply for
session 2015-2016 and these can be obtained from the school office, Argyll
House, all Area Offices and the Council web site. All completed application forms
are to be returned to EMA Section Argyll House, Dunoon PA23 8AJ.
