Participants will be met at Christchurch International Airport and transferred to their
accommodation.
Travel by coach today through the Canterbury Plains and along the Southern
coastline to Dunedin where we will stay for the next two nights.
Today we explore the Taiaroa Peninsula; our first stop is at the world’s only mainland
breeding colony of the Royal Albatross. Renown ocean wanderers, they travel vast
distances from their breeding grounds to feed. The royal albatross with a massive
wingspan of up to 3.3 metres flies approx. 200,000kms a year. We will also visit
Penguin Place a conservation project to protect the yellow eyed penguin. Here you
will be escorted through living areas and breeding grounds of this shy penguin.
Today we travel inland to Queenstown, famous for its adventure, fun, scenery and
ski fields.
Choose from any of these options (cost is additional). Please list your options in
preference if you wish to do more than one.
Option 1: Alpine wilderness safari $250
Jet boating through an ever-changing river system with views of snow-capped
mountains, native forest and waterfalls; a guided walk through ancient forest
followed by a 4 wheel drive back through a scenic back road. Duration 6 hours
Option 2: Lord of the Rings film location safari $175
A true adventure safari packed with goldmining history, thrilling 4WD river
crossings and a great overview of the diverse scenery of the Queenstown /
Arrowtown area. Visit the filming locations of Minas Tirith, Misty Mountains,
the Pillars of the Kings (Argonath), the site of Isildur’s Fall, the Ford of Bruinen
and more. Duration 4 hours
Option 3: Ben Lomond Horse riding $100
Ride through some spectacular scenery -lakeside views, mountains and river
crossings we ensure that you will be left mesmerized by the beauty of this
35,000 acre farm. Duration 2 hours
Option 4: Skyline Queenstown Luge $60
This is a thrilling ride for all ages and abilities. Jump on your specialised Luge
cart, select your track, then take control as you zoom down the Luge. Then
catch the Luge chairlift back to the start zone and do it all over again - once is
never enough!
Option 5: Shotover jet $100 (2 hours complete)
Prepare yourself for the thrill and excitement of the ultimate Jet Boating
experience with world famous Shotover Jet; it’s a unique, breathtaking white

Today we travel through the scenic Lindis Pass, along the shores of Lake Tekapo and
inland back to Christchurch where we stay tonight.
TOTAL COST OF THE TOUR IS NZ$1200 per person
A deposit of $300 per person is required; this needs to be paid at the time of registering for
the trip. The balance is payable by 1 December 2015. Please note the tour is peak
holiday season in New Zealand so please get your registrations in early in order that
arrangements can be made to accommodate you.
Payment can be made with either a credit card (2.5% transaction fee applies) or a bank
transfer. If using a credit card please ensure we have the following details:
Name on Card, Number and Expiry Date.
If you wish to make a transfer please email us so we can send through Guides New Zealand
Bank details.

The cost of the tour covers all travel, accommodation, GST, and attractions as stated (apart
from options) It does not cover any food and on these type of tours where we are staying at
lodge/hostels/motels there will be opportunity to buy and prepare your own meals, with stops
at supermarkets for provisions..
GirlGuiding UK, GirlGuiding NZ or its agents shall in no circumstances whatsoever be liable
to the client or any person travelling on tour for:

Any death, personal injury, sickness, accident, loss, delay, consequential loss or any
misadventure howsoever caused.
In this condition the expression 'howsoever caused' includes negligence on the part
of the person.

Travel insurance is compulsory and at participants’ own cost.
