Town of Cassian Board Meeting Minutes
December 2, 2014 Meeting (not yet Approved by board)
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Larry Hendrickson at 7:00PM.
Present were Larry Hendrickson, Gail Winnie, Gene Rio, Denny Thompson and Michael
Leair.
A motion was made by Gail to accept the Clerk’s minutes from the November 5th
meeting, 2nd by Gene. Motion carried 3-0
A motion was made by Gail to accept the Clerk’s minutes from the November 12th
meeting, 2nd by Gene. Motion carried 3-0
Treasurer’s report was read. A motion was made by Gene to accept the treasurers
report and put on file, 2nd by Gail. Motion carried 3-0
A discussion took place about where the ads for town business should be placed. Gail
pointed out that the Rhinelander paper was the official paper for the area and things
would need to be placed in it even if we place them elsewhere. To advertise in
additional papers would be an additional expense and additional work for the clerk.
Larry made a motion to place all town ads in the star journal in addition to The
Rhinelander News, 2nd by Gene. Motion carried.
The Town Emergency Response Plan was reviewed and it was decided to revisit this
topic after the start of the new year.
A discussion about residents plowing snow across town roads took place. A mailing will
be sent to residents where this is a problem pointing out the town ordinance regarding
this..
A motion was made by Gail to adjourn, 2nd by Gene. Motion carried. 3-0
