1898, MIC is a Catholic College of Education and the Liberal Arts. The
College offers a wide range of programmes in Education and the Liberal
Arts at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and over 3,000
students are engaged in studies here.

APPLICATION
You must be nominated by your university coordinator, and then
complete the relevant International Student Application Form
electronically and e-mail it to Ger Cahillane at Mary Immaculate College.
Application Procedure
Mary Immaculate College welcomes applications from students interested
in studying abroad at MIC for one semester or one academic year. With
the agreement of their home institution, students can pay the required
tuition fees (€5,584 per semester), or if there is an MIC student to send to
the home institution in exchange, fees will not be applicable.
Students can choose courses to complement their programme of
study back home and credits will be transferred to their home
institution upon completion of each semester

O'Dwyer House, Self-catering Accommodation
Mary Immaculate College recently opened a high-spec, 8 bedroom/3
bathroom student house only a couple of minutes' walk from the
campus. O'Dwyer House can be booked through the International Office
for either one semester or the full year. The house is fully equipped with
all mod cons, including:

The cost is €2,000 per semester, plus €300 for utility bills, plus €300

Self-catering Accommodation (on-campus)
Courtbrack Accommodation is a student accommodation complex
owned and managed by Mary Immaculate College. Courtbrack offers

safe and secure accommodation for students, with the following
amenities:
• Single and twin bedrooms.
• 24 Hour reception and tourist information.

City Campus student accommodation is a privately run facility located
15 minutes’ walk from Mary Immaculate College offering the following

• Apartments are 4 bedrooms (single occupancy), 2 bathrooms, with
kitchen/dining area.
• Gas heating in all apartments and on-site laundrette.
• On-site reception and on-site manager.
• Multi-Channel T.V, 24-hour broadband, telephone system with
intercom facility.
• Basketball court and running track.
• Specialist bicycle parking and car parking facility.
During the academic year, City Campus is generally occupied by longstay students, but available to short-stay students during the summer

Students and visitors coming from overseas can fly into
our local international airport, Shannon Airport, which is
under thirty minutes' drive from Limerick City. Limerick
City is also easily accessible from Cork and Dublin
Airports.
Limerick City is 25 km south of Shannon Airport.
Transport to Limerick is available by bus or taxi. The
bus journey from Shannon to Limerick costs
approximately €7.00 (student fare). Please see the
