This kit will be shown to you the first day of classes and you will receive your kit upon receipt of the fee. Additional materials such as your own PRISMA colouring pencils in highly encouraged. Arrive on Time & Ready to Create: Treat your classes like a job. Your boss wouldn’t want you to be late, neither do your teachers. As soon as you arrive place your belongings under your desk for your safety and that of others. Get out your supplies needed to have a successful period in class. If you miss a class it is your responsibility to find out what you have missed and to get caught up. No food in the class but water is permitted. Art Production: Art is a process, not an end result. Therefore, preliminary work is critical and will be given progress feedback or in some cases marks. It is very important to participate in all aspects of the process of art making and engage in conversations, interviews and production in class. Prior to the beginning of any final work, the preliminary requirements must be met and approved by the teacher. The bulk of all work will be completed within the classroom. Headphones and Phones: Upon arrival to the class remove all headphones and put phones away. Music played in the classroom will be at the discretion of the teacher present. Once the class has started and all instruction has been given, you may listen to your own music via headphones at a reasonable volume level. Headphones are not to be shared. The use of phones for communication within the classroom at not permitted. Deadline and Due Dates: 2 Assignments are given a reasonable amount of time to work on in class. Students are welcomed on spares and some scheduled lunch times to work on their art. If it is necessary for art work in progress to go home for completion it must be discussed with the teacher. Due dates are expected to be followed. 3
