Sparkle & Shine Assembly Well done to the following pupils who have celebrated their achievements in our recent sparkle and shine assemblies. Laura Sendreiova Charlie Eyre David Horvath Stefan Pokuta Kye Khan Nebeha Qaid Poppy Appeal – wear it red Monday was “Wear it Red” in support of Remembrance Day. We would like to thank you all for your donations and support for the Poppy Appeal – the British Legion will let us know how much money we have raised shortly. The Slapband rulers were very popular this year! Everyone participated, the children looked wonderful in their red clothes, and we even had a Spiderman in for the day! Our dining room was decorated with red lights and baubles and the children had poppy shaped cookies to eat with dinner. It was great way for the children to learn how to remember and respect all those people who have served and / or lost their lives for our country. Wasan Beleid Jayden Moore Carly Greenhalgh Amelia Drewett Mina Mulakhil Darcey Lindley - Chafer Road safety with children The school would just like to remind parents to hold their children’s hands near the road outside school to keep them safe. Whilst the road may not be a main busy road it is sometime hard for drivers to see people crossing or spot children running out in road through parked cars. The safety of the children is our priority therefore we just wanted to send out a reminder. School Library Books It appears that we have quite a few of school library books that are not being returned after the children have taken them home. Therefore, can I ask if you could check at home to see if any children have school library books hidden away on their book shelves and if so then please return them to school? We are still in process of building a wonderful library for all children to benefit from and would love to continue to allow children to borrow books on a weekly basis. Oasis Academy Watermead: Academy Council The School Academy Council meet every 6 weeks to discuss all aspects of the school. The chairperson is Jonathan Savage, if anyone would like to contact him they can do so through Miss Vickers in the main office. We would like to introduce our new staff representative is Miss Russell, EYFS Leader and Reception Teacher and the parent representative is Kashif Khan. Children leaving school early We are getting lots of parents coming to collect children early via the school office. Mrs Goodhand would like to remind all parents that children are expected to stay at school until 3.15pm every day. Medical and dental appointments should be made outside the school day. If this is impossible then proof of appointment will be required. Anti-Bullying Workshop Monday 16th – Friday 20th November is anti-bullying week.
