Regional Programs Reports/Bills The Secretary will submit Monthly Reports for all accounts for the Regional Programs administrated by the NVRHSD as of October 31, 2015. The Secretary will submit Monthly Bills for the Regional Programs administrated by the NVRHSD for the period of October 1, 2015 to October 31, 2015. F5. Investment of Funds/Regional Programs The Secretary will report on investments made during October, 2015 for the Regional Programs. F6. Secretary/Treasurer Reports That the Northern Valley Regional High School District Board of Education acknowledges receipt of the Report of the Treasurer and Report of the Secretary for the month ending October 31, 2015; and Further, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.10(c)3, I certify that as of October 31, 2015, no line item account has encumbrances and expenditures, which total exceed the line item appropriation in violation of N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-16.10(a). F7. Audit That the Board of Education approves the 2014-2015 Audit pending pension report to be received from the State Division of Pension as per GASB68. (There were no recommendations and no Corrective Action Plan is required). F8. Donation – Demarest That the Board of Education accepts a donation from the Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest Project Graduation 2015, $4,000 to be distributed as follows: $2,000 towards the purchase of a graduation speaker system $1,000 to the Class of 2018 $1,000 to the Class of 2019 F9. Donation – Demarest That the Board of Education accepts a donation from Dr. Ronit and Jacob Slotky $2,000 to be distributed to the NVD Music Department Band Program. F10. Donation – Old Tappan That the Board of Education accepts a donation from Ms. Susan Howard of copy paper approximately valued at $1,217. Committee of the Whole Meeting – November 9, 2015 Page 3 F11. Donation – Old Tappan That the Board of Education accepts a donation of 47 books with an approximate value of $235 from NVOT English Teacher Jason Noyes to be added to the Old Tappan Media Center. Grant That the Board of Education accepts a $500 grant and a $1,000 grant from Youth Service America and the Summer of Creativity Grant Program to be distributed to Sabina London for the Girls Science Interactive Program. F13. Transfer Report As per N.J.A.C. 6A-13.3(g) submission of the monthly Transfer Report to the Executive County Superintendent for approval of the budgetary line item transfers that exceed the 10% threshold as of November 30, 2015. Disposal of Chairs – Old Tappan That the Board of Education approves the discarding of 50 old wood chairs that came out of Old Tappan’s library and are presently in the Demarest High School’s boiler room. B5. Winter Athletic Schedule That the Board of Education approves the Winter Athletic Schedules for Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest and Old Tappan. B6. Camps That the board of Education approves the Camp Contract from January 2016 until December 2016 in the amount of $15 per camper with $5 for the program and $10 for the District. B7. Bid for HVAC replacement - ROD 4 Grant That the Board of Education approves Joseph A. Cecco, Architect, to advertise for bid for HVAC replacement units in the South Gym and Auditorium at Demarest High School and in the Media Center/E-Studio at Old Tappan High School and furthermore these projects are eligible for ROD 4 Grant funding. Travel WHEREAS, in order to be in compliance with the State of New Jersey’s N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-7; and WHEREAS, those on the attached list are attending the administratively approved conferences, conventions, staff training sessions, seminars, or workshops; and WHEREAS, the total expected cost of such conferences, conventions, staff training sessions, seminars or workshops; and WHEREAS, the attendance at the stated function was previously approved by the Superintendent of Schools through the appropriate administrator(s) as work related and within the scope of the work responsibilities of the attendee; and WHEREAS, the attendance at the function(s) was approved as promoting delivery of instruction or furthering efficient operation of the school district, and fiscally prudent; and WHEREAS, the travel and related expenses particular to attendance at the function(s) may exceed the state travel guidelines established by the Department of Treasury in NJOMB circular letter; BE IT RESOLVED, that the Northern Valley Regional Board of Education approves attendance at the administratively approved function(s) as necessary, and Committee of the Whole Meeting – November 9, 2015 Page 5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that those expenses that appear on the attached form titled “TRAVEL AND WORK-RELATED EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENTS” for lodging, meals and gratuities are within the limits of the State travel reimbursement guidelines and are justified and reimbursable upon submission of the required receipts up to the current established limits as specified in the General Services Administration website, with any additional costs for lodging, meals and gratuities expenses above those established limits to be personally borne by the attendee(s). Additional Valley Class That the Board of Education approves the opening of an additional preschool class in the Valley Program to accommodate the needs of the Region III District students. The Program is requesting the following: The preschool class would be developed for November 1-June 30, 2016, there will be a need to advertise for a TOH for the preschool class and the new students placed between November-June will be placed in the Valley Preschool Program classes in which slots will become available by present students moving to primary classes and/or returning to district. A7. Occupational Therapists – Region III That the Board of Education approves the attached contract between Region III Council for Special Education and Miriam Skydell and Associates, LLC. A8. Non-Public Security Aid Funds That the Board of Education approve the District's consultation with the Academy of the Holy Angels to discuss the needs and use of the Non-Public Security Aid Funds provided by the State in the amount of $14,100 and that the consultation was held on October 15, 2015.
