Art Smocks for Foundation to year 2
Students in these years will require an art smock. This can be an old shirt,
jumper, t-shirt or a smock. Please label this with the child’s name and class.

Parent Helpers
In the Art Room
Over the next semester, I will be looking for parent helpers to assist in the art room during the prep to year
1/2 lessons. These lessons take place over the days of Monday, Tuesday and Friday. A meeting will be arrange
for interested parties before school on the nominated day to brief helpers in job outlines and responsibilities.
As the art room is a busy area I ask that no toddlers or other children accompany you during these sessions.

The 2015 MPPS Art Show
The 2015 Art Show will take place towards the end of term 4. It is a whole school event that will showcase the
outstanding work by the students at our school. As planning has already begun and ideas are flowing I am
calling on expressions of interest from parents who would like to assist with the show or if you have any props
or contacts that would assist us with the set up. If you would like to help out please contact me via email.

Junk Collection
A big thanks to all who contributed to the junk collection, many families donated a range of new and recycled
items. We are always on the look out for interesting things that the children can use in their art creations. If
you think you have something that we would like, please send it down to the art room.
