Our Girls won First Place in their category! Congratulations ETS Cheerleaders! Our Cheerleading Squad will be performing at the JHR Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, March 7th and 8th, and will also be participating in one more competition in Santa Fe in March . Construction is well under way! Most of our old buildings have been torn down. The gym has been gutted out, as well as the 2000 Building Wing. New duct work and new electric is taking place on the 2000 Building. Inside walls on 2000 Building are being worked on. Both East walls and West walls of gym are scheduled to come down as expansion to both ends begins to take place! ETS moved into our new school! Moving into our new school was a challenge for the staff and administration, but was made possible with the immense help of the custodial staff, as well as Espanola Public Schools Maintenance Department. Kudos to all the folks involved for all their hard work! March, 2015 March, 2015 Feb. 18, 2015 Feb. 27, 2015 Our First day of school in our new school officially took place Wednesday, February 18 th! All of our students were tremendously excited! We are having to serve breakfast and lunch in our classrooms for the rest of this school year, as well as limit our physical education activities to a small area, but we are sacrificing now to enjoy the final benefits of a re-modeled kitchen and cafaterium, as well as a new and expanded playground coming next school year! I want to appreciate our Staff for their sacrifices and hard work and our students for their patience and cooperation! I would also like to appreciate our parents for their patience and support throughout this process. Report Card Day! Our Staff met with our parents for Parent Teacher Conferences on Friday afternoon. Many of our parents were able to view and enjoy our new school for the first time! We had 51% parent participation as a school. Our parents were excited to be in a new school! ET Salazar Elementary Has Moved! Our new school address is 719 Calle Hacienda. Bonus Point Activity The school houses classrooms for regular education, special education, bilingual education programs, and the administrative offices. In addition, a new parent drop off point and staff parking is now in use. The Kindergarten and 1st grade students have also been excited with their new playground. Phase II of construction, which includes renovation of the gymnasium/cafeteria and the 2000 has begun. The entire project is scheduled for completion on August 14, 2015.
