The 2014 German Polizei Workshop being held July 7-10, will focus on Patrol and Detection
Training. This will include some of the newest training methods being taught in Europe. This
course is ideal for all levels, from the new handler to experienced trainers.
Kai Rottmann is the Chief Instructor at the Hamburg Germany Police Canine Handler School.
His unit trains and maintains a Canine Unit consisting of 80 Teams. In addition to teaching at
the school Kai is a world level dog sport competitor and trainer. He offers seminars in Europe
and abroad.
Henry Wagner is an Instructor at the Hamburg Germany Police Canine Handler School. He has
over 15 years of experience in the law enforcement canine field. In addition to his duties at the
school, Henry currently works a Cadaver Dog for the Police Department. Henry is also a world
level dog sport competitor, trainer, and decoy.
Kai and Henry work extremely well together and are excellent teachers to both the dog and
handler. Each team will receive one on one time with the instructors and will work on tasks
geared toward building their individual team skills, at whatever level they may be.
We will limit the class size to 12 Handler Teams. However we strongly recommend that
trainers and handlers attend this class even if they are not able to work a dog. All will walk
away having learned a lot.
