Dear Parents who wish to have your child baptized in St. Anne's Church,
We rejoice with you for the wonderful gift of your child, which indeed is a blessing from God. The Bible says,
“Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him” (Psalm 127:3). We congratulate you for taking
the decision to baptize your baby and thus become a member of the Catholic Church.
I. Date and time of Baptism: Since we have many requests for baptism in English language in St. Anne’s
Church, the baptisms will be mostly group / common baptism which means that there will be more than one
child for baptism on this day. It is very important to talk to the priest first, before you decide on the date of your
child’s baptism, book the Party Hall, make arrangements for the baptism reception etc.
II. The child’s Birth / Name certificate: To begin the process of registration for the baptism we need your
child’s Birth / Name certificate, which you can obtain from the Folkekirke / Protestant church nearest to your
vicinity, which you may in turn scan and e-mail to Fr. Andrew. His e-mail address is: szorc6@gmail.com. If
you don’t have a scanner, please take a picture of the document and e-mail it. Later on you can give a printed
copy of this document along with all the other documents.
III. Parents contact details: When you contact the priest for the first time regarding your child’s baptism, we
encourage you to give both the parents’ full name, e-mail address and mobile number for better
communication.
IV. Two Information Meetings: For the practical and spiritual preparation for the celebration of the baptism
we invite you to attend two information meetings before the date of baptism:
1. The First Information Meeting will take place on the First Tuesday of every month at 6.30-8.00 pm in the

requirements for baptism etc. It is required that you attend this meeting at least a month before the date of your
child’s baptism. Please remember to register for this meeting by sending an e-mail to: szorc6@gmail.com
2. The Second Information Meeting will take place on the Third Tuesday of every month at 6.30-8.00 pm in
the Ministrants Sacristy. At this meeting we will mostly focus on the spiritual aspects of baptism, the meaning
of baptism, duties of the parents and Godparents etc. We encourage both the parents (obligatory) and God
parents (as much as possible) to attend both the meetings! Please remember to register for this meeting by
sending an e-mail to: szorc6@gmail.com
