ReStore Sales Assistant T, W, TR, F, Sat
Show off or practice your amazing sales skills. Assist customers at our store buying various treasures.
Organizing and cleaning merchandise is a never-ending battle that we need your help with. Longer term
volunteers often find themselves with creative projects to help make the store a more inviting, customer, and
community friendly place.
 Scheduled Tuesday- Saturday 9:30-1, 1-4 or 9:30-4
 Help organizing and maintaining specific departments; Antique, Lighting, Housewares
 Must be 14 years or older
 Must be outgoing and friendly
 Cannot be afraid of dust
Warehouse Dock Assistants T, W, TR, F, Sat
Help is greatly needed in loading and unloading donations on our dock. Don’t pay for a gym membership;
get a free workout with us.
 Must be at least 17 years of age
 Loading and unloading vehicles
 Must be able to lift 40 pounds
 Being kind
 Scheduled Tuesday- Saturday 9:00-1, 1-4, or 9:00-4
ReStore Floor Assistant - Monday only
Help to maintain proper inventory levels on the sales floor, ensure the safety and ‘shopability’ of the main sales
floor and public warehouse area and assist with warehouse projects. Organize and setup materials for sale in
an orderly and appealing manner, straighten and clean displays and restocking out of place items.
 Must be at least 17 years of age
 Must be willing to use and operate warehouse equipment such as a hand truck or dolly.
 Must be able to lift 50+ pounds with assistance
 Self-starter
 Scheduled Monday between 8:00a-5:00p for a 4 hour shift.
ReStore Pick-Up Assistants M, T, W, TR, F, Sat
Ride in a Habitat Truck with a staff member going to various neighborhoods throughout Cuyahoga County to
pick up donations for the ReStore. Money earned through selling these donations supports our construction
efforts.




Must be 18 years or older
Scheduled Mondays-Saturdays 9:00-3:30
Volunteer needed to ride in a Habitat Truck to pick up and drop off donations
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
ReStore Electric Trade Assistants TR, F, Sat
Work in the warehouse testing and assembling lighting and other electrical donations.
 Must be at least 18 year of age
 Must have some electrical experience, do not need to be a professional
 Patience and a love of lighting
 Once a week commitment Scheduled Tuesday- Saturday from 9:30-1 or 1-4 shifts with flexibility
ReStore Mechanical and Small Engine Repair T, W, TR, F, Sat
Volunteers with knowledge and expertise in Mechanicals and Small Engine Repair are needed to help
identify and sort donated pieces, assess if they are functional, make minor repairs, and assist with pricing if
possible.
 Must be at least 18 years of age
 Working knowledge and expertise in one of above mentioned trade/material areas
 Once a week commitment Scheduled Tuesday- Saturday from 9:30-1 or 1-4 shifts with flexibility
ReStore Tool Team W, TR, F, Sat
Volunteers with knowledge and expertise in Plumbing, Nails/Screws, and Door Hardware, and Tools are
needed to help identify and sort donated pieces, assess if they are functional, make minor repairs, and assist
with pricing if possible.
 Must be at least 18 year of age
 Must possess some knowledge of tools
 Having delightful stories
 Once a week commitment Scheduled Tuesday- Saturday from 9:30-1 or 1-4 shifts with flexibility
OFFICE
Data Entry/Filing
Work with our office manager or other staff members to keep our operations running smoothly.
 We need help in our front office and in our finance office
 Must be at least 16 years of age
 Once a week commitment for 2 -3 hours per shift , day and time can be arranged
 Need to be detail oriented and have had previous experience entering data
Recruitment Table
Talk with customers in the ReStore to recruit more volunteers to Habitat.
 Must be at least 18 years of age
 Work a volunteer table in the ReStore to recruit new volunteers.
 Must be flexible, kind and outgoing
Habitat Baking Brigade / Social Committee
Help celebrate volunteers and build community by baking for the build sites and various events.
We are in need of cookies this month!
 All ages can bake offsite
 Drop off bags of cookies/ brownies anytime between 9-4 Tuesday-Friday
 Calling to let us know the cookies are coming is good but not necessary
Marketing/Development Volunteer
We are looking for someone who can help with our Cars for Home Project. Help Habitat come up with strategic
plan to communicate this program to the county.
 2-3 hours bi-weekly
 Flexible schedule
 Must be able to work independently
Family Selection Committee Member/Home Visitor
We are looking for someone who can attend a monthly committee meeting held on the first Monday of month
and to accompany another committee member/staff person on home visits of potential Partner Families.





Have good social/people skills 
Assist in reviewing applications and supporting documents
Give input on applicants
Assure that the committee is adhering to the policies set forth
Meetings are held typically held the 1st Monday of the month at 6pm. Home visits are typically on
Saturdays but are occasionally on weekdays.
FACILITY

Help us keep our facility safe and functioning properly:
 Must be 18
 Monday through Saturday availability
 General knowledge needed in construction or maintenance
 Must have flexibility and a can do spirit
CONSTRUCTION
Woodshop T, TR, Sat
Join on the ground floor of getting a woodshop up and running. Work with knowledgeable people and
beginners to help make things for the facility and repair items for the ReStore.
 Must be 18 or older
 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday from 9:30-4
 Fix donated furniture and other items to be sold in the ReStore
 You can start ASAP
 Experienced Volunteers in carpentry or woodworking, also experience in chalk paint.
Due to timing of the builds there is an extensive waiting list to get on a
construction team, we will do our best to get you placed with a team.
We are looking for ‘regular volunteers’ who are able to commit to 1-2 days a week for a minimum four
month commitment.

Construction
Join a group of volunteers to help rehab homes. Work in nearly all aspects of construction.
 Must be 18 (16 and older accompanied by an adult with restrictions)
 Typical build days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9-3:30
 Building for the foreseeable future is on the Eastside of Cleveland
 Must be able to drive to the construction site
 Must have flexibility and a can do spirit
