Fire Hydrants: We have started repairing the out-of-service fire hydrants in the Village. There are a total of 15 hydrants that require maintenance. Out of those 15, two will need to be replaced. We have the two new hydrants in stock so that will help keep our repair costs low for 2015. We have assigned the hydrant repair by priority and are working closely with Cincinnati Water Works to coordinate water shut offs. Should a residential area be impacted, I will contact you ahead of time. We will also send out a Code Red message several days in advance to notify the residents in the affected area. In October, we will begin winterizing all of the hydrants in the village to prevent them from freezing over during the cold winter months ahead. 2.
