HCDC Contract under Review: The Village of Woodlawn has a
contract with Hamilton County Development Corporation
providing economic development services. Their contract ends
September 30, 2015. We are reviewing a new proposal for
economic development services for 2016.
Port of Greater Cincinnati: The Village met with the Port
Authority of Greater Cincinnati to discuss property development
opportunities throughout the community. We are currently
researching programs/partnerships to benefit the Village.
Strategic Planning: Upon review, we are recommending a
strategic approach to economic development. This would
consist of developing a long range plan for economic
development in the Village of Woodlawn. We are seeking
trained facilitators to walk us through the process.
Residential Properties: The Village has conducted a land
assessment for vacant and Village owned properties inventory
to get an understanding of the potential for the redevelopment
of our housing infrastructure. Upon completion of the
assessment, we will enact a strategy to move forward
Foot Bridge: We are delaying the demolition of the foot in
order to provide matching funds in our Ohio Clean Trails
Grant application, which would provide the balance of the
funding for full bridge replacement and land restoration.
