Orientation aims to facilitate new students’ transition into Boston University School of Public Health and to enrich each individual’s unique BUSPH experience. You’ll learn about life inside and outside the classroom – from academics to research, employment, and volunteer opportunities. Orientation also provides an excellent opportunity to meet your peers, the faculty and staff, and deans of the School. Please note: Shaded events are required or strongly recommended. This Q&A will provide new students with tips from the "experts; those who have gone before them." Session The Practice Office will conduct an interactive activity to introduce students to our office, public health practice, and the real world of public health. L-Building, room 110 4:15 – 5 pm Understanding & Addressing Health Disparity at BUSPH CHS professor Sophie Godley will lead this interactive session, examining the question “how do we prepare to meet the health needs of disadvantaged, underserved and vulnerable populations?” 5 – 6 pm Closing Reception Come and meet new and continuing students, faculty and staff while you enjoy dessert and drink.
