York City. Albany sits on the west bank of the
Hudson River about 10 miles south of its
confluence with the Mohawk River.
• The population of the city was 97,856 at the
time of the 2010 census.

zone.
• It has cold, snowy winters and hot wet
summers.
• Albany receives 38.6 inches of rain each year.
Albany neighborhoods
Downtown Albany is the oldest
neighborhood centered on State Street.
One of the oldest streets is the original
main street.
Food
They have MANY restaurants with good food.
Lots of people say it is hard to find just one.
They have food for a lot of other different
cultures like Italian and American food.
