Response to Intervention Process for Academics and Behavior Aligned to Child Study Team Process Implement Scientific Research-based Academic and Behavioral Core Instruction Conduct, compile, and evaluate data including Universal Screening Student does not meet standard Tier 1 Student meets standard Provide & monitor differentiated instruction and targeted small group instruction for behavior and/or academics for a period of 3-6 weeks Student is making adequate progress with continued differentiation and targeted small group instruction as needed Student is not making adequate progress Tier 2 If student is not making adequate progress with behavior and/or academics after 3 – 6 weeks of documented differentiated instruction and targeted small group instruction, then a problem-solving team evaluates data and creates an individualized plan for the student in eCST (SMART Goals) Implement and progress monitor Tier 2 Interventions based on the student’s individual plan and status check timeline – see eCST + Continue to provide Tier 1 differentiated instruction and targeted small group instruction for behavior and/or academics Student is not making adequate progress Student is making adequate progress with Tier 2 Interventions, continue If student is not making adequate progress, submit student’s data to the Child Study Team that will then evaluate progress monitoring data and revise the individualized plan for the student in eCST Initial 504 Consideration Tier 3 Implement and monitor more intensive Tier 3 Interventions based on the student’s individual plan created in conjunction with the Child Study Team and status check timeline Student is making adequate progress with Tier 3 Interventions, continue And Continue to provide Tier 1 differentiated instruction and targeted small group instruction for behavior and/or academics Student is not making adequate progress Student is referred for further evaluation Child Study Team continues to review, monitor and make recommendations for identified students Special Ed Other 504 Dyslexia If student does not qualify, continue to provide Tier 3 Interventions aligned to student need 2/8/2016
