August 7, 2015

Construction
Downtown Storm Sewer — Construct additional storm sewer on University. Estimated construction
August 2015 — September 2015.
N LBJ Reconstruction — reconstruct North LBJ from Sessom to Holland with 3 lanes at Sessom,
converting to 2 lanes from Chestnut to Holland with sidewalk and shared bike lanes; includes new water and
wastewater lines. Two way traffic to open on 8/21/15.
Hunter Rd Widening (COSM/TXDOT) — widen Hunter Road from Wonder World to Bishop with
bike/pedestrian paths; estimated construction spring 2014— September 2015.
Implementations for Railroad Quiet Zone — Installation of "No Train Horn" signage at all crossing intersections is
complete. Union Pacific is updating their database with new info rmation based on Notice
of Establishment submitted by COSM. Implementation anticipated by September.
Yarrington Bridge @ IH 35 (Hays County/TXDOT) — Replace bridge at Yarrington and IH 35;
estimated construction summer 2014 — winter 2015.
Post Road Waterline (Developer/COSM) — 16-Inch waterline extension along Post Road to Blanco Vista
Subdivision; estimated construction summer 2014 — winter 2014.
N. LBJ Lift Station — Upgrade lift station at N. LBJ and Craddock; estimated construction July 2015 —summer 2016.
SH 123 at Wonder World Drive Improvements (TxDOT) — Install a bridge on SH 123 over Wonder World
Drive. Estimated construction early 2015 — Spring 2017.
Loop 82 Overpass — 4-lane roadway elevated over Union Pacific Railroad, with access road connecting city
street intersections and a re-aligned Post Road; includes water quality, reduction of one at-grade railroad
crossing, and Bike/Ped path from IH35 to Sessom; temporary overhead electric pole installation on
east parking lot scheduled 8/7/15. Full underground conversion in west parking lot complete by
8/14/15. TxDOT construction meetings scheduled every Thursday at 1:30pm at Post Rd. construction trailer.
Construction for the bridge/overpass, July 2015—July 2017.
Design
Hopkins Bishop to North Design underway. 30% plans scheduled for December 2015.
Old Ranch Road 12 Bike & Pedestrian/Widening — Construct bike lanes, sidewalks, and utilities along Old
Ranch Road 12 from Craddock to Holland; 2017 —2018.
N LBJ and Oakridge Utility Improvements — replace utilities on N. LBJ from Holland to Craddock and on
Oakridge from N. LBJ to the east end of Oakridge. Estimated construction spring, 2016 — spring, 2017.
Sessom Bike/Pedestrian Improvements - Add/widen sidewalks on Sessom Drive from Aquarena
Springs/University to N. LBJ. In addition; the State/Peques intersection will be realigned. Estimated
construction spring, 2016—2017.
2017-2027 Campus Master Plan
Nancy Nusbaum announced the Campus Master Plan process, provided a handout to the Committee Members and
provided the 3 meetings for the interviews. The dates set for the Executive Committee, RFQ Review Committee and
Facilities Committee interviews of the short listed firms are August 24th-3PM, August 26th-10AM, and August 27th9:30AM, JCK Reed Parr Room.
There were no objections from the committee to the Space Planning and Renovation requests below:
2015-082 Clear Springs Parking Lot Environmental Project - $78,700, funds still available in the Clear
Spring Demolition account to finish this project. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-091 – Running Track Repairs - $11,401.50, athletics to fund. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-092 – RF Mitte 1st Floor CNC Machine Room #1211 - $35,977.84, MS Program to fund $7,500 and
institutional HEAF to fund $28,477.84. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-096 – Centennial Hall Suite 201 Renovation - $52,168, institutional HEAF requested. Nancy will
forward for approvals.
2015-101 –LBJSC 2-6.1 Red Mango Build Out Project - $17,078, department to fund. Nancy will forward
for approvals.
2015-103 – LBJSC Counseling Center Renovation - $8,774.46, unit to fund. Nancy will forward for
approvals.
2015-104 – Computer Science Rm #236 Renovation - $40,928.96, institutional HEAF requested. Nancy
will forward for approvals.
2015-105 – ELA Room #370 flooring project - $9,998.68, department to fund $4,290.68, institutional
abatement account to fund difference. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-109 – Band Tower Renovation - $47,790.12, institutional HEAF requested.
2015-110 – Derrick Hall 226 renovation - $15,394.50, department to fund $8,496.50, institutional
abatement account to fund difference. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-111 – Theatre Room 113 - $18,588.36, classroom renovation account to fund. Nancy will forward
for approvals.
2015-112 – Undergraduate Admissions Office Room 206 - $5,803.23, department to fund. Nancy will
forward for approvals.
2015-113 – CDC Shade Structures - $12,739.70, department to fund. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-114 – LBJSC 5-7.31 desk tops and furniture - $28,771.37, department to fund. Nancy will forward
for approvals.
2015-115 – JCK Equity and Access, Graduate College, Registrar and Marketing - $110,187.85,
institutional HEAF and institutional moves to fund. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-116 – Derrick Hall 108 - $9,866, institutional HEAF to fund. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-118 – Bobcat Stadium Gate #8 Ticket Booth Renovation Project- $64,200, institutional HEAF to
fund. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-120 – Education Bldg. Rm's. #4005, #4007, #4008 & #4039 Whiteboards - $10,600 institutional
HEAF to fund. Will be FY16 funds. Nancy will forward for approvals.
2015-121 – RR12 Anthropology Renovation - $100,600, institutional HEAF to fund. Nancy will forward
for approvals.
