ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Saavy Marketing Meeting: Met with Linda Clovis of Savvy Marketing to discuss our
goals for 2012 advertising and to let her know what tools we have available to use for
advertising along with what we would like to still develop (and may need her help with).
She will be submitting a proposal to help us with our advertising, which will be
disseminated to the marketing committee for discussion.

De-ob/Budget: Have continued to work on the de-ob/re-ob by touching bases with all
interested parties regularly regarding progress. According to Chris Shaver, the de-ob is
currently in review at the BLM budget review office. Have also worked with the BLM to
complete a budget modification in the amount of $6,000 in order to be able to pay the
final Knitted Heart invoice for the completion of the video PSA.

Firewise Community Presentation Coordination: Talked with Pat Durland to determine
if he would be interested in being an IDFW contractor on retainer who would help
conduct firewise community presentations in the Boise area. He quoted a flat fee of
$225 for these presentations which would include set-up, any presentation up to 2
hours, and tear down for any request within 10 miles of the Boise area. Board discussed
at our last meeting and agreed that this was reasonable. Have not had any requests
since this discussion.

Great Basin Conference Planning Committee: Participated at the Great Basin 2013
Prevention/Mitigation Conference Planning Committee Meeting. Established an agenda
with two main breakout tracks. Planning committee believes they would like to ask
IDFW to help with logistical planning of this event, and to possibly handle funds. Both
agreeing to handle funds and allowing for allocation of my time for this event require a
board decision.

City of Boise Fire Mitigation Meeting: Met with Boise Fire Prevention and Mitigation
Specialist and Boise Planning and Zoning to discuss fire mitigation goals in the Boise area
and how Idaho Firewise can provide support or assistance for their efforts.

WAM events and advertising: Worked with KIG and Nez Perce Tribe to plan and
schedule WAM road painting events. Worked with the marketing committee to evaluate
and refine advertising proposal from Savvy as it applies to WAM advertising. Are
planning to launch the video PSA along with some billboards and radio PSAs this month
all centered on the theme It doesn’t have to go up in smoke – prepare your home for
wildfire season now. Have also created a WAM press release.

Newsletter: Have been working on newsletter between other things in order to have it
ready to disseminate in May 2012. Should be ready to release by mid-month.
