The school recognises

That all parents, students and employees have an equal right to be
treated fairly and with respect and concern irrespective of gender, race,
cultural or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, social circumstances or
religion.

and that all employees have an equal right to access appropriate
development opportunities.

That all students of compulsory school age have an equal right to a
broad and balanced curriculum and to be treated with the same degree
of concern for their educational development in order to benefit from the
resources available.
AIMS
The school believes that discrimination on the grounds listed above is unacceptable
and seeks to promote equality of opportunity through:

Ensuring that the ethos and philosophy of care and concern for the
individual students regardless of background is practiced by staff.

Students being made aware of the contents of this policy and
participating in its implementation by showing respect for all members
of the school community as individuals.

Ensuring that the strong anti-bullying and anti-racism measures are
agreed and known by all staff and students.
