Directions: While completing assignments in the elementary education program, you will discover valuable resources to assist you as you prepare lessons to teach mathematics. Record these resources in an annotated resource portfolio. Categorize your findings by the following groups: PreK – K, 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6. For each resource include an abstract that has (1) all information needed to locate it and (2) the lesson plan using the source typed in the Chipola lesson plan format with the benchmark with which it correlates. Your portfolio should represent resources from a variety of sources (You should not use the same resource, for example, www.NCTM.org, more than once for each grade level entry or more than twice in the portfolio). Each of the four grade levels should contain at set number of lesson plans. These lesson plans should make use of manipulatives, technology and other hands-on, minds-on learning strategies.
