Reports to (title): Senior Director Applied Clinical Informatics
Location: Dallas
Position Purpose:
To perform the review and analysis of current patient Perinatal systems, with special emphasis on
the review and maintenance of the Tenet clinical standard in the maternal child area. The ability
to manage and facilitate Perinatal system implementations, with adherence to project timelines,
resources, financials and Tenet Standard Methodologies.
•Review current systems, workflows and practices as they relate to the perinatal area
oAbility to evaluate and document current clinical practices
o Capability to document to patient journey, within and outside the perinatal area
•Analyze future state systems and their alignment with the Tenet Standard
o Proficiency in documenting future patient perinatal clinical practices, around new system
implementations, and the development of “gap analysis” linking both current and future state
workflows
o Adeptness to trace the patient journey, along the perinatal clinical continuum, through
visualization of the future state model
o Knowledge of the integration of perinatal clinical policies and procedures with electronic medical
systems, and their related impact on system change and implementation
o Understanding of the interrelationships between regulatory agency requirements, the patient
continuum and electronic clinical systems
•Manage Risks and Issues
o Ability to identify, manage and develop mitigation strategies for system and workflow issues and
risks
o Knowledge and expertise to translate end user challenges into written reports, develop
resolution strategies, track mitigation, and resolve identified issues and risks
•Manage Change Control
o Expertise in fostering change and the execution of transforming workflow, through the utilization
of clinical systems
•Facilitate meetings (combined on-site and web-ex)
o Facilitation skills to drive decision-making and follow-up action
o Serve as the meeting scribe and timekeeper (if required)

Exceptional, proven facilitation and negotiation skills
o Ability to run fast-paced, results-driven discussions/meetings in a virtual environment (onsite
plus web-ex)
o Ability to direct the discussion to constructive ends and within reasonable time constraints
