GCE Results 2015 We hope that you are pleased with your results, but if not here is what to do now: Priority Re-Mark and other Post Results Services If, after discussion with your Lead Tutor / Programme Leader, you require a Priority Re-mark because your university place depends on an expected higher grade, you must go to the Exams Office by 21st August (Friday). See overleaf for details for all Post Results Services. Re-Sits Re-sits will only be available in June each year. Please see College website and Learnzone in the Autumn term for deadline dates and fees. External Candidates If you are not returning to College and wish to re-take some exams, you must first get permission from your former Programme Leader. Please then contact Exams Office to complete the relevant re-sit form before the board deadlines. Please note that an external candidate fee will be charged in addition to all re-sit fees. All required information is on the reverse of the re-sit form. Help and Advice Some teachers and the Careers Adviser will be available in College on Thursday 13th August from 9am to 12 noon, to offer advice to students about their results. Reminder – FOR STUDENTS RETURNING FOR A SECOND YEAR ONLY: Students who do not pass their AS exam (the clear expectation is that students progressing to A2 will have achieved a grade D, or higher, at AS) are not able to progress to A2 unless a very rare exception is made following consultation with the relevant Programme Leader. In such cases, you must attend the Advisory Service at Deanfield at the following times: Surname starting with letters: A-E F-K L-Q R-V W-Z Date Thursday, September 3rd Thursday, September 3rd Thursday, September 3rd Thursday, September 3rd Thursday, September 3rd Time 10.00-11.00 11.00-12.00 13.00-14.00 14.00-15.00 15.00-16.00 You will need to report to the Welcome Desk, Deanfield on arrival where you will be given instructions. You should also attend the Advisory Service if you have decided to change your Year 2 programme. A Level: most students will continue with 3 A2 subjects in their second year. However some students, because they were uncertain of their final choices, may have re-enrolled in April for all four of their AS subjects in order to keep their options open until the results in August. Students should only continue to 4 A levels if they achieve 4 Grade Bs or better at AS. If after receiving your results, you know which one of your four A2 subjects to drop, you must inform your Lead Tutor, preferably by email, so that your programme can be amended on the College system. But if you are unsure about which subjects to continue with and would like to discuss it with someone, or you are only enrolled to do three A2 subjects next year and still wish to drop one of them, you must attend the Advisory Service (details given above).
