An animal was walking around its home. 1. They were going put that new book with the rest of the books, but the teacher said, “Stop. You need to work now.” 2. Every student must bring a small bag to put their old work in. Then you take the bags home and show your mom and dad what is in them. 2. Mom asked, “Which of these books have you read before? I only want you to read books you have never read before.” 3. You need to pull open the lid very slowly because this stuff is messy. 4. Please sit in these chairs here. Today we are going to the store to buy six new toys for my cousins, some markers to draw with, and something my dad wants to help him with fixing the car. 2. Dad said, “Can you carry these boxes? I think colored pencils make pictures more pretty to look at. 5. I get to pick the kind of ice cream I want because I just finished reading one hundred books. 6. Can you please hold my drink while I try to tie my shoes? 7. The teacher asked, “Could you be very kind and turn off the lights for me please?” 8. Mom was going to get my prize, but I said, “I want to pick the prize myself.” 9. We own ten little brown puppies. I hope they grow up to be as tall as me!” 4 1. At school we will need to write four or five stories. My teacher said each story should be better than the last one. 2. I hurt my hand and cut both of my knees one time when I crashed my bike while riding at full speed. 3. We could hear seven or eight birds singing together at night. This ice cream flavor is by far the best flavor I have ever tasted. 6. Some students started laughing when the box of books fell right to the floor. The teacher turned and said, “I don’t think any of you need to laugh right now.” 7. Mrs. Wells said, “I want to thank you for turning off the light when we left the classroom.” 8. Mom said, “You both need to wear a warm jacket because it is cold outside.” 5
