Monday Objectives: 1/19 No School Guided & Independent Practices: N O S C H O O Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday 1/20 We will show how seedlings emerge from the ground and overcome the force of gravity. Students will then demonstrate understanding of concepts learned during this unit. 1/21 We will explain how plants respond to different stimuli in the environment. We will also be able to predict what might happen if a vacuole were to be depleted. 1/22 We will analyze and compare plants demonstrating diff. tropisms as well as plants w/ diff amounts of turgor pressure to see how plants are affected while reviewing for their test. 1/23 We will apply our understanding to photosynthesis, turgor pressure, and tropisms while taking our unit assessment. 7.7C, 7..5A, 7.13A & B 7.13A & 7.13B Guided Practice: Guided Practice: Guided Practice: Teacher will be leading and facilitating the review amongst the students. The teacher will ask hypothetical, openended questions to get students thinking about photosynthesis and plants. Teacher will monitor students and work with a students as they review for test. Teacher will provide a review sheet for students upcoming test. Teacher will also go over how a seed will sprout from the ground and how the seed overcomes the force of gravity and goes toward light. Assess ment: 7.5A, 7.7C, 7.13.A, Independent Practice: Guided Practice: Teacher will monitor students while their taking their test. Students will demonstrate mastery on the concepts related Independent Practice: Students will be in the computer lab participating in a Kahoot activity while reviewing for the upcoming test. Students will take an assessment on photosynthesis and tropisms. & turgor pressure Unit Test Independent Practice: Independent Practice: Students will work on their review sheet and take a quiz that covers all components of this unit. Students will be completing their review sheet and participating in review stations in preparation for their exam on Friday. QUIZ; thumbs up Review Questions I Have, Who Has I will be able to identify how a seedling overcomes the force of gravity to pop out of the ground. I will be able to differentiate between gravitotropism & thigmotropism. I will be able to identify the products and reactants of photosynthesis. L 7.5A, 7.7C, 7.13.A, Closure: I will be able to recognize tropisms and exactly what goes on in photosynthesis as I answer my test questions. Please realize that this is just a plan and may change, nothing is set in stone. Plans may change if there is an unexpected absences, I find more effective material, technology or copier malfunctions, etc. I thank you for your understanding; everything I do is in the best interest of the students!!
