Hot Lunch Program
We are once again beginning monthly hot lunches. Here are a few tips to make it easier for everyone participating in the
program.

We are unable to make change, so please send exact amounts or cheques (payable to Birds Hill School).
If you are sending money for two or more children, you may send the payment with one child.
Please do not tape or staple money to the order forms.
If your child fills out his/her own order form, please ensure their name is on it and that their order is legible.
There are numerous errors when students do their own addition. Parents, please double check that the totals add
up properly.
Extra order forms are available at the office.
Since we preorder the food, we are unable to provide refunds. However, we will offer to package up the meal for a
parent or sibling to pick up.
Our school is concerned about the health and welfare of all our students. Please note that we cannot guarantee that
this lunch option is allergy free. We have spoken to the provider and they have indicated that they have not used
nuts, peanut butter or peanut oil in this lunch. However, if your child has an allergy we encourage you use this
information to make the most appropriate decision for your child. Additionally, please note that RETSD policy states
that it is the responsibility of students with life threatening allergies to only eat food provided from home and not
purchase food products from school.
The success of the Hot Lunch Program depends on its volunteers. When you are able to help out, please fill in the bottom
portion of the form.
