Health IV –Birth Control Project Mastery Objective: As a result of our time in the media center, you will be able to research your assigned Birth Control topic, properly cite all information and synthesize the information from your research to create a class shared power point presentation. Step 1: Go to your Lenape email and accept the invitation from Ms. Fauver into the class shared power point through Google Docs. Step 2: Follow the directions from Ms. Fauver to create at least 4 slides in the shared power point. Put your names at the top of all four slides to claim them. Step 3: RESEARCH! RESEARCH! RESEARCH! -Research and find all required information about your assigned birth control topic. -Use the resources on the CLASS PROJECTS page to find information. -Only use credible and reliable websites -Find an online image related to your topic; when you find the image, right click and save picture to your H drive. Properly cite the image using easybib.com. -Find and properly cite an online video to use in the presentation. Step 4: Create at least 4 slides in the class power point in Google Docs. -Slide 1: Pictures/ more than one / collage-like -Also include the category the birth control is in: -Barrier -Hormonal -Emergency -Implanted -Permanent -Slide 2: Embed a video or music file -Slide 3: Discuss how the birth control works and/or include facts about your birth control topic -Slide 4: Effectiveness and Citations -Be creative!! -Try out different fonts, backgrounds, text. -Go to “insert” and insert a video. -Try out the additional tools. Google docs presentation is similar to power point but contains some unique features. -Be careful – only update your individual slides – not anyone else’s! -Ask Ms. Fauver or Ms. Gaffney for help in creating these slides. Step 5: View the complete power point Google doc of the class to see what all of your classmates’ found on their birth control topic. You will be completing a birth control chart as a review utilizing the information you and your classmates displayed on the shared Google Doc power point.
