Off-Site Testing for Broward College Online Students
I require proctored (face-to-face) exams for my online course. If you live outside of
Broward County, Florida, and cannot come to BC to use the e-Learning Test Center,
you can arrange to take your test elsewhere under the supervision of an approved
proctor; that is, someone authorized by BC to administer the test. These
arrangements MUST be made and approved by me within the first week of class.
Note that most of these centers charge a testing fee and you are responsible for
paying these fees. Just follow the guidelines for off-site testing below to make the
necessary arrangements.
Please be aware that your grades can be delayed up to 2 weeks when using an
off-site testing center.
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
I.
Use one of the National College Testing Association (NCTA) locations:
1. Go to the NCTA web site at http://www.ncta-testing.org/cctc/find.php. Click on
the state where you want to take the test. From the city-by-city list of testing
locations in that state, select the site most convenient for you. This will give you a
page with contact information, testing hours, fees, directions, and other details.
You will be responsible for any fees the testing center might charge.
2. Contact the testing center and arrange for your test(s).
3. E-mail me at ________________ to give me the name and contact information
for the testing center you chose.
