Recap from Operation Immunization
a. Carissa Flick, Operation Immunization Coordinator
i. Thanked everyone who volunteered at the event
ii. 3,000 children and adults were estimated at the event
iii. Log volunteer hours on the LECOM portal under surveys
Recap Breast Cancer Awareness Day
a. Rebecca Bollinger, President-elect
i. Wore pink ribbons and formed a human pink ribbon in the atrium
ii. Human pink ribbon attendees can log this as volunteer hours
Recap of the MRM Meeting in Alexandria, Virginia
a. Arthur Malahimov, MRM liaison
i. November 12-14th
ii. Started the meeting off with an icebreaker puzzle that allowed
pharmacy students from different schools to meet each other
iii. 350 students were in attendance- largest region 2 MRM
iv. ASP Leadership training seminar-“You’re the CEO for you”
v. CV workshop
vi. Picked regional officers: Regional Delegate, Member-at-Large, and
MRM Coordinator
b. Ivy Chen, Delegate
i. Stated how to get involved with policy and advocacy
ii. If interested for next year, write a proposal and send it in 2 weeks
prior to MRM
iii. 18 proposals passed out of 48

d. Come 15 minutes early, 5 minutes beforehand to
prepare, and 5 minutes to counsel on medication

c. OTC Jeopardy Competition- Team of 3 students
represent LECOM
2. Operation Immunization – India (Rotary International)
a. Rotary International Dream Team
b. Travel to India to help eradicate Polio
c. February 6th-14th
d. Trip will cost $3,000 per student
