May 2014 Minutes were approved as written by the membership.
Barbara Gardsbane went over the Cash Flow Report.
Andrea Ferreri presented report from Financial Reconciliation Committee for the 2013-14 fiscal year and reported that all records were found to be correct.
Barbara Gardsbane made a motion to approve the 2014-15 Budget as presented to the membership.
The motion was seconded and approved.

The Mustangs with Character program was introduced as a new school-led, faculty-led program with the financial support from the PTA. Sally Rodgers, school counselor, was then introduced to describe the program and recognize the 12 recipients for the month of September.
Sally Rodgers: Each month 2 students from each grade level (one male and one female student) will be chosen for this honor. Students will be selected on the basis of character using the "Six Pillars of Character" which is the framework of the Character
Counts program taught at Homestead. The "Six Pillars of Character" include:
Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. The selection process will be done by each grade level team. The honored students will be recognized on the morning announcements, have their picture displayed in the Mustangs With
Character display case outside the library, and will be given their award and medal at the PTA meeting by Mr. Perry, Mrs. Ford, and/or Mrs. Rodgers. September recipients are: o Kindergarten: Zephen Eason and Hallie Crofts o 1st Grade: Cael Stohl and Amelise Ung o 2nd Grade: Cash Nankas and Leah Boyd o 3rd Grade: Hunter Waine and Mady Cha o 4th Grade: Barrett Adams and Emma Carline o 5th Grade: Ainsley Carmichael and Luke Moisan
The Hebron High School Homecoming Parade is Wednesday, September 17 at 6:30. The theme for the parade is
“
Hawkflix
”
and Homestead will have a float entitled
“
How to Train Your Mustang
”
in the float.
NEHS and Student Council representatives will also be walking in the parade. Homestead families were encouraged to come and enjoy the parade and stay after for the Pep Rally.
The Big Event is a new event sponsored by the East Zone of Lewisville ISD and its feeder schools including Hebron High and its feeder schools and The Colony High School and its feeder schools. The
date has been set for March 21, 2015 and will be a day for students from the East Zone to thank their communities by providing community service. School principals and school representatives are currently meeting to develop the infrastructure for this event. Families were encouraged to contact
Beckye Brown if they would like to become involved in the planning or participation of this event.

. Spirit Wear can now be purchased online through the website. It was announced that Spirit Wear was also available for sale at the meeting.

Guest Speaker, Lorraine Brock with Get Organized!, was introduced. Following her presentation, she was thanked for attending and presenting. Castle Hills Taekwondo was also thanked for offering a free class in the gym for students during the presentation.
