Our Goal:
By the time a child is five years old, we want them to know these three basic truths:
God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
This Month:
Ahoy, mateys! Are you ready for the Clubhouse Pirate Adventure? We are so excited about
these next two months where your preschoolers are going to learn that the Bible is better than
gold. Each week will introduce preschoolers to a different snippet of truth from God’s Word and
unpack what that means to them.
Week one, preschoolers will discover this amazing treasure—God’s “teachings are worth more
to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver,” Psalm 119:72, NCV. As they continue to
hunt for Bible treasures, they will learn that they were wonderfully made, that God loves them all
the time, and that they are part of God’s family. They’ll conclude the month with spyglasses to
help them look for ways to help others. It’s going to be exciting for sure.

Do you know why it’s better than gold? (Pause.) Because it’s filled with all kind of things for us to
learn about that are worth more than the money in any of our piggy banks!
Our Memory Verse says it like this, ‘Your teachings (hold hands like a book) are worth more to
me (bring fisted hands to chest like holding something precious) than thousands (hands explode
up and out) of pieces of gold and silver’ (hands in front rubbing fingers together like greedy for
money), Psalm 119:72 (open hands like a book). Do you think you could practice that with me?
(Pause.) Repeat just the words after me.”
CHILDREN and LEADER: “‘Your teachings (pause) are worth (pause) more to me (pause) than
thousands (pause) of pieces (pause) of gold and silver’ (pause), Psalm 119:72.” (Repeat as
many times as desired.)
LEADER: “Great job! One of the teachings that I think is so important is how God made all of
us. He did! [Basic Truth] God made me, and He made each of you, too. He made us all to do
some pretty AMAZING things.
(To kids) “Arrrg, mateys! I think we got the story. Did you get it? If you did, say, ‘Got it!’”
“Awesome! Make sure and come back next time so we can go on another pirate adventure
together. There are more Bible treasures waiting to be found!”
*Kids return to classrooms for activities and small group prayer
time 
