Number and Operations in Base Ten 1: Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read,
and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
 I can count by ones to extend a counting sequence up to 120.
 I can count by tens from any number to extend a counting sequence up to 120.
 I can read and write numerals to represent a number of 100 to 110 objects.
 I can read and write numerals to represent a number of 110 to 120 objects.
Number and Operations in Base Ten 2: Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts
of tens and ones.
 I can group objects to show numbers to 50 as tens and ones.
 I can group objects to show numbers to 100 as tens and ones.
Number and Operations in Base Ten 2a: Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent
amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases: a. 10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten
ones – called a “ten”.

Chapter Essential Question: How do you use place value to model, read and write numbers to 120?
Each day the math block will begin with 15 minutes of Daily Math Review and Mental Math. The focus of DMR should be either prerequisite standard skills or previous chapter
concepts that were not mastered. The focus of mental math should be based on the current Chapter’s skills and concepts. Adjust the amount of questions in DMR and MM to fit
into the 15 minute time block.
