Autumn 2 To closely monitor the progress of all pupils in writing. Spring 1 To launch BIG Writing throughout school. Promote the use of pens in books when individuals are ready – not specific to a year group. Improved handwriting skills throughout school, to ensure fluent, cursive and joined styles are used following the Sheffield Scaffold Handwriting Scheme.
