Gastroenterologists Suzana Brozovic, MD, PhD, DDS, and Deepthi Deconda,
MD, join Southcoast Physicians Group
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — Southcoast® Health System announced today that
gastroenterologists, Suzana Brozovic, MD, PhD, DDS, and Deepthi Deconda, MD, have joined
Southcoast Physicians Group and will see patients in Fairhaven and Fall River respectively.
Suzana Brozovic, MD, PhD, DDS
Dr. Brozovic earned her medical degree, doctor of dental surgery and doctor of philosophy degree
from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. She completed an internship and residency in medicine at North
Shore Medical Center in Salem. She also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at
Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Brozovic’s areas of clinical interest include gastrointestinal bleeding, small bowel pathology,
fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, and hepatitis. She performed clinical and translational research in liver
inflammation and cancer.
She is board eligible in gastroenterology and hepatology. She is fluent in Croatian, Slovene and
German. She currently resides in Lexington.
Dr. Brozovic is accepting new patients and will see patients at Southcoast Center for Primary and

Deepthi Deconda, MD
Dr. Deconda earned her medical degree from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences in
Hyderabad, India. She completed an internship in categorical internal medicine at New York Medical
College in Valhalla, N.Y., and a residency in categorical internal medicine at Yale University in New
Haven, Conn. Dr. Deconda completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Warren Alpert School of
Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I., where she serves as a teaching
fellow in the division of gastroenterology.
She is board certified in internal medicine and is fluent in Telugu and Hindi. She currently resides
in Providence, R.I. with her husband and their two children.
Dr. Deconda is accepting new patients and will see patients at 1030 President Avenue in Fall

located at 208 Mill Road in Fairhaven, adjacent to Southcoast Centers for Cancer Care.
