Soccer League (“the League”), Wetaskiwin Soccer Club (“the Club”), the City of Wetaskiwin (“the City”) or any other cities/towns where games take place, and the association(s), league(s), individual(s) organizing the game or event, their directors, employees, volunteers, coaches, referees, instructors, agents and independent contractors and their heirs, successors and assignors from any claims whatsoever arising by reason of any disease, deterioration of health, illness or injury to any person, including death, or for damage to, or loss of any of my property resulting from or arising from use of the lands and premises, from being present on the lands and premises, from participation in any program, from the use of any facilities or equipment located on the lands and premises, from acceptance of the advice of, or from the negligence of the League, the Club, the City or any other cities/towns where games take place, and the association(s), league(s), individual(s) organising the game or event, their directors, employees, volunteers, coaches, referees, instructors , agents, independent contractors or any other persons using the lands and premises.

1. I will play within the laws and spirit of the game and encourage others to do the same.
2. I acknowledge that this league is purely recreational and I will conduct myself in a manner that both supports this and encourages others to support it as well.
3. I will promote this league and the game of soccer positively by demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity.
4. I will display self control in all situations and will refrain from using foul or abusive language at any time before, during, and after a match in accordance with the league’s ZERO Tolerance Policy on foul language.
5. I will endeavour to preserve the enjoyment of the game for all participants and honour the spirit of ‘Fair Play’.
6. I will show respect towards my teammates and opponents alike and play with due care and attention so as to not put others at risk of bodily harm.
7. I will show respect towards the referee and his/her assistants at all times and obey all referee directions without protest. I will not harass, berate, or otherwise abuse a referee for any reason. I acknowledge and accept that referees are human and will make mistakes like anyone else even at the highest levels and perfection is not a reasonable expectation.
8. I will familiarize myself with the BRMSL League Competition Rules or the FIFA Laws of the Game* prior to bringing forth any disputes or concerns to the league or its representatives.
9. I acknowledge that I may be subject to disciplinary action for not complying with this Code of Conduct.
