Preventative Measures
1. Inspect Equipment with
Operators Manual & Safety
inspection sheets.
1 a. Personal injuries from stepping out
of vehicle
1 a. Ensure stepping handles and steps attached to
vehicle are used if available. Use nonslip shoes.
b. Crushed and pinched fingers from
opening and closing vehicle.
b. Ensure all body parts are out of the way prior to
closing vehicle doors.
c. Back injury from bending to check
vehicle wheels and tires and from
reaching to check fluids.
c. Attend back injury awareness training.
d. Physical reactions from contact with
vehicle fluids.
d. Wear proper PPE as prescribed by MSDS/SDS.
Ensure a Fire extinguisher is close by

driving. Be alert; watch traffic and use of seat belts.
Drive defensively. Ensure equipment is being used
as designed and operated as instructed in operators
manual.

b. Be observant of your surroundings, both; objects
and personnel at all times during equipment usage.
Ensure no one is in the path of equipment while
operating. Ensure equipment safety items are in
place and use equipment safety features, i.e. Ensure
the seat belt is operational and wear it during
operations. Wear proper PPE while operating
equipment.

Pathogens; (6) Report all Mishaps immediately.
Safety Inspection (include in documented daily safety inspections): (1) Pre-operation
safety inspection sheets (2) Inspect fire extinguisher for serviceability
Required PPE: (1) Safety Shoes (2) Eye/face protection (3) Hearing protection (4) Skin
protection (5) Head protection (6) Hand protection
