Freshman Orientation

Attention: Parents and Students of Hebron Middle School Eighth Grade Class
Hebron High School will be having a Freshman Orientation for all incoming freshman (current
8th graders at Hebron Middle School). It is our desire to ensure that students do not stumble as
they make the transition from middle school to high school.
As a first step in our effort, we are inviting you and your child to attend an orientation session.
During this session, we will share information about what it takes to be successful at Hebron
High School. In addition to discussion of graduation requirements; students will tour the school,
hear about how the school day is structured, and learn about how they can pursue their
interests. Student information packets of the issues being covered will be distributed to parents
at the orientation.
In the weeks after orientation, Mrs. Bush will meet with each parent and student to discuss
individual course choices and four-year plans. Please check your calendar for dates that you
will have available. You will be able to schedule your meeting at the orientation, or after the
meeting, you can call to schedule. The meetings last about twenty minutes and are scheduled
between 7:15 and 2:30 at the middle school.
The next four years are an important time for your child. We need to work together in order to
make them successful. We look forward to seeing you at the orientation.
