Classics Department Trip to St Andrews University Classics Department
Dear Parent,
On Wednesday 12th March 2014 we will be taking the Higher and Advanced Higher Classical Studies
classes to St Andrews University Classics Department for the afternoon.
For the last few years the university has organised an excellent program for school pupils introducing
some of the university’s latest research to pupils across the country on a variety topics relevant to
SQA examinations. Pupils will engage with staff and students in a variety of hands on workshops
within the department.
We will travel by school minibus leaving school at 1pm and pupils will return to the school gates at
the later time of 5.30pm.
Pupils will need a packed lunch on this day and will wear school uniform. There will be no cost
involved.
It will be assumed that your son/daughter will attend this trip unless we receive a written request
that they do not attend.
If your son/daughter does not wish to return to school from St Andrews again this will need to be
confirmed to me in writing before the day.
