Marine Lubricants Customer Service Engineer

Full-Time; 7:30 to 5:30 M-F and on call as necessary

• JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
DESCRIPTION: The Marine Lubricants Customer Service Engineer will be responsible for supporting the company’s
clients and affiliated office’s needs concerning marine lubricants operational and technical requirements in the region.
This position will report directly to the company’s Executive Director in Red Bank, NJ and will work closely with the
Group’s Bunker Brokers and Fuel Traders to develop existing and potential new accounts for contract and spot
lubricant business in the Americas. The position is the basis for promotion to a Territory or Regional Sales Engineer
within the global lubricants organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring Customer Service within the Americas, providing prices and offers when and where the Team needs it.
Providing market information, product, and pricing information to Bunker Brokers and Sales managers in the local
offices.

Coordinating spot sales by working closely with Bunker Brokers and Fuel Traders across the region.
•
Managing and developing strong client and supplier relationships.
•
Grow sales of marine lubricants through existing clients and develop new accounts.
•
Supporting local sales teams on operational and technical matters.
•
Development of shipboard lube oil schedules for contracted customers (Lubrication Charts).
•
Conducting ship visits and reports.
•
Managing and developing strong client relationships by regular visits and ensuring accurate commercial & market
intelligence.
•
Securing long-term contract sales.
•
International travel to visit business partners as required either alone or together with Bunker Brokers and Fuel
Traders.
•
Researching industry/company data locally and compile reports for management.
•
Attending shipping and lubricant seminars, conferences and exhibitions.
•
Any other tasks as so directed by the Executive Director.

An understanding of ships and their equipment

Marine Engineering or Marine Logistics

Regimental Student/Civilian Student/Both?
Either is acceptable. USCG License preferred.

Some seagoing experience / Cadet Shipping
