Spring 2015 Ohio Science and Social Studies Tests Accessibility Features and Accommodations Paper Based Testing Planning Tool A number of accessibility features, accommodations and special versions are available for students taking the science and social studies tests. This document serves as an optional planning tool to help district and school personnel identify which supports are available, record student needs and prepare for providing supports for paper based testing. It does not supersede a student’s IEP or 504 plan. When deciding whether to offer accessibility features and accommodations during testing, consider the student’s prior use of and experience with them. For additional guidance, click on the hyperlinks in this document and refer to the Test Coordinator’s Manual or Directions for Administration Manual, which will be available on the Portal in January. Districts and schools should not submit this form to AIR (the test contractor) or the department. Districts and schools may use the information from this form when planning for paper-based tests: District and schools must plan for administrative considerations and arrange resources prior to testing so students receive appropriate accessibility features and accommodations as needed. District test coordinators who have students who need Braille or printed large-print test booklets must order these materials in TIDE. Districts that have paper-testing students who will receive a human read aloud or language translation administration can order additional test booklets for test administrator reference in TIDE. The department must approve unique accommodations in advance of testing. Student Information Please complete the information below.
