There are an additional 14 warmup lanes in two pools, two locker rooms each for men and women, and seating capacity of 2500. Age Requirement: Age is determined by the participant’s age as of December 31, 2016. However, all athletes must be 21 years of age by the first day of competition, Thursday, July 21, 2016. Minimum age for competitors is 21 years. Participation Fees: Games Fee: $60 per athlete before April 1; $80 per athlete between April 1-May 12; $99 per athlete between May 13-June 30 Swimming Entry Fees are $4 per individual swimming event. Relay Entry Fees will be $12 per relay and will be available for registration on-site at the Games Village only. Please note: a $5 service fee is payable per person at the time of submitting your registration. Further details are available in the Games Entry Terms & Conditions. Eligibility: Participants must be active members of US Masters Swimming or the comparable organization in their home country. Athletes who are not members of US Masters Swimming should become a member before registering for the USA Masters Games. Membership information can be found on the US Masters Swimming website. For international athletes, appropriate documentation is required. Awards: Individual Awards: USA Masters Games gold, silver, and bronze medals Team Awards: Special Recognition Awards for the Top 3 teams Team Scoring: All events in the meet will be counted towards team scores. For Individual Events, scoring will be 9 points for first place, 7 for second, 6 for third, 5 for fourth, 4 for fifth, 3 for sixth, 2 for seventh, 1 for 8th. For relay scoring, point values are doubled. Additional Information: Participants should include event times with their entry to facilitate appropriate seeding. Entries with no time will be included in the slowest heats. Participants may enter a total of 5 individual events per day, a total of 10 events for the meet, and an unlimited number of relays. (Relay entries/registration is onsite only) The Open Water Swim does not count against the limitations on the number of event entries. To facilitate the timely progress of the meet, participants will be required to do positive check-in for all individual events 200m or longer. Relays must consist of four participants all from the same team or club. Mixed Relays must consist of two men and two women. The length of the competition course is in compliance and on file with USMS in accordance with articles 105.1.7 and 107.2.1, but as a bulkhead course, is subject to length confirmation. Eligibility of times for USMS Top 10 and records will be contingent on verification of bulkhead placement. For the 800m and 1500m Freestyle events, the term "Mixed" refers to the fact that Men and Women are seeded together, and will swim together, in heats according to seed time. Results will be by gender. Rules: The meet will be conducted under United States Masters Swimming Rules. Social Activities: The Games Village located at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex will be the hub for Athlete Services, Vendor Village, and daily entertainment throughout the Games. Opening Ceremonies will be held the evening of Friday, July 22, while Closing Ceremonies will be Sunday evening, July 31. A Swimming Athlete Reception will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex (site of the Greensboro Aquatic Center) beginning shortly after the conclusion of competition on Saturday evening, July 23.
