Swimmers should enter as wide a range of events as possible. The more you enter the more times you will have to enter
competitions throughout the year. For swimmers in CAG2 and above you should endeavour to enter all events as a training
experience.

Information Sheet
1.
The competition will be held under the Laws and Technical Rules of the A.S.A. The Meet is a
Level 4 licensed meet, designated as a qualifying event for the 2014 County Championships.
2.
Heats are arranged according to submitted entry times. All events are HDW. With the age groups
split as 9yrs/Under, 10yrs, 11yrs, 12yrs, 13yrs, 14/15yrs, 16yrs+ ,in all events. (The promoters
reserve the right to combine age groups as appropriate to the number of entries).
3.
The warm ups will take place as stated, with all swimmers warming up together.
4.
'OVER THE TOP' starts will be used for all events except backstroke events. This means that at
the end of a race the swimmer will stay in the water until after the start of the next race, and then
leave the water quickly BY THE SIDE of the pool.
5.
Swimmers should seek guidance from club coaches for which events to enter.
6.
Awards will be made to those placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the age groups identified in 2.
7.
Entry will be £1.50 per event – paid with entry form.
8.
Swimmers are advised not to leave their clothing or other articles in the changing rooms as
neither the promoters nor the Leisure Centre management can accept responsibility for loss or
damage. Please use the lockers provided.
9.
The promoters reserve the right to refuse admission to any competitor or spectator.
10.
Anything not covered in the above - or not printed in the programme will be at the
discretion of the promoters.

The pool is an eight lane 25 metre pool with anti-wave lane ropes.
