Sri Lanka Association of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (SLACPT) Inaugural General Meeting Will be held on Thursday, 11thJune 2015 12.00 noon – 2.00 pm at Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo Clinical pharmacologists of Sri Lanka are happy to announce the establishment of the Sri Lanka Association of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (SLACPT). This association is being established with the following objects: Promoting best practices in using medicines in patient care in line with international standards, while being sensitive to the local situation Advancing knowledge, promote research and disseminate knowledge in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics Advancing educational activities on Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics towards the members of the medical profession, related fields and the public Promoting undergraduate and postgraduate education in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics Being an advocacy body on medicines policy and regulation of pharmaceuticals in Sri Lanka Any person who has an interest in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics with M.B.B.S. or equivalent basic medical qualification with full registration in the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) OR other related qualification acceptable to the Council shall be eligible for membership of the Association.Those who fulfill the above criteria will be admitted as Full Members, Associate Members or Ordinary Members of the Association. Undergraduates and graduates of MBBS programmes without full registration in the SLMC will qualify for student membership.
