Liberal Achievements for 2010 • With the end of a 30 year conflict in Sri Lanka, the LYSL has decided to re-structure the organization in order to be relevant and progressive • Adapting of a new ‘inclusive’ constitution • Networking and establishing database of groups/parties and organizations for future partnerships. • Educational workshops on promoting liberal values for school leavers and university students in Southern and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka. • Introduction of online access to English language publications and literature on liberalism. • Formulation of workshop series which hopes to educate youth to present liberal solutions to address present socio-political and economic issues in Sri Lanka. In the next decade.. • The LYSL hopes to be a platform for connecting various parties, groups and organizations of different ideologies and view points to discuss and work together on common political and non-political agendas. • Educate and create access for youth of all backgrounds to participate in political discussion and processes. In this way, we hope to create awareness of liberal values and principles. • To lay a solid foundation for liberal youth to enter the political mainstream.
