Introduction
This is an order form for setting up an CAD data exchange relationship between Scania
CV AB and a supplier. If the supplier use the Odette Engdat standard for data exchange
then this will be used. Otherwise WebEngdat will be used, a Scania web portal without
any system requirements or costs for the supplier.

This order form shall be completed and sent to marko.stabarkovic@scania.com. It is the
responsible purchaser at Scania that authorize all data exchange with suppliers and must
therefore approve of this request before any connection can be setup. It counts as an
approval if the purchaser has sent the request or if the purchaser was copied when the
request was sent.

formats will be used until otherwise agreed.
More than one file format can be selected in each table but please try to have as few
as possible. Note that if CATIA V5 is selected for Scania to send no other format can
be selected in the same table.

4. Basic requirements for WebEngdat Data Exchange







The recommendation VDA4951 (TAR encapsulated file packages) cannot be
applied for transmissions from Scania to suppliers. Scania can receive such file
packages.
ZIP is required for compression.
Directories are not allowed.
References to databases are not allowed.
Incoming files will automatically be stored in Scania’s product data archive.
Outgoing files will be sent from Scania’s product data archive and automatically
converted if defined.
More specific information will be sent during the implementation phase.
